Banana Pudding

Banana Pudding is a dessert consisting of layers of sweet vanilla flavored custard, cookies and sliced fresh bananas.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3-4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 package of vanilla wafer cookies
  • 1 can evaporated milk or 2 cups chilled milk
  • 1 box instant French vanilla pudding
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 tbsps. flour
  • dash of salt
  • 12-ounce cream cheese whipped topping, thawed (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, mix flour, condensed milk, salt, evaporated milk, eggs, vanilla extract and vanilla pudding.
  • On medium heat, cook until thick and continuing to stir for the next 15-20 mins.
  • Using a large aluminum dish, layer the cookies and banana slices in the bottom of the dish.
  • Pour ½ of the pudding mixture over the top.
  • Repeat with the second layering of cookies, bananas and the second ½ of the pudding.
  • The last step is to crunch up a few additional vanilla wafers and sprinkle on the top.
  • For additional topping, whipped or meringue toppings would be delicious!
  • Refrigerate for two or more hours until ready to serve or can be serve right away if you like it warm.
